INCREASE = 300 - 275 = 25
So, the percent increase = (100)(25)/275
We COULD use the onscreen calculator to find this value.
Alternatively, we can take (100)(25)/275 and simplify it.
We get: (100)(25)/275 = (100)(1)(11)
= 100/11
= 9 1/11
So, the closest INTEGER is 9%
