Given that the triangles are similar, the ratios of their corresponding sides are equal.

Convert Mary's height and shadow to inches, since the flagpole's shadow is given in inches.
Mary is 6 feet tall = 6 ft * 12 inches/ft = 72 in
Her shadow is 1.5 yards = 1.5 yards * 3 ft/yard * 12 in/foot = 54 in
The flagpole and Mary's height are corresponding sides, and their shadows are also corresponding sides.
Let x = the height of the flagpole.
\(\frac{x}{72} = \frac{144}{54}\)
\(54x = 144*54 = 10368\)
\(x = 192\)
