If x is an integer, what is the minimum value of [#permalink]
It's exact. I took the GRE in November 2020 and this was a level 5 (if I recall correctly) question in algebra in my second section. Only the options are different and I don't think the "x is an integer" part existed (which doesn't matter here). Crucially, the expression is exact.

Cannot get a clear picture of the question asked. Because the least answer should be one if x is an integer.

\(3^x+\frac{1}{3^x}\)

when we have the form x/y and y/x the expression is always = or >2

We are looking for the minimum value which cannot be >2

Therefore x=0

\(3^0+\frac{1}{3^0}=1+1=2\)

C is the answer
