I broke this strange shape into 3 familiar ones. 2 triangles (Triangle AXB (x being a point on Line AD) and Triangle BYC (y being a point on Line BC), and 1 rectangle XDYB.
Triangle AXB Calculation. -- For these, you need to look at the line graph to find the values. Each point is 0.2
1/2(.6*.4) = .12
Triangle BYC Calculation
1/2(.4*.2) = .04
Rectangle XDYB Calculation
.4 * .6 = .24
Adding all the areas together
.12 + .04 + .24 = .4
