Text plot

In fact: describing a contrast; so the context asking for a contrast in blank 1 and its effect in blank 2

Answers:
A. Ominous: something evil; a contrast
B. Accomplished: something done; not relevent with context
C. Innovative: something new or extraordinary; not a contrast
## Only option A fulfills context's requirements.
D. Discouragement: Give up on oneself; irrelevant, nothing to do with the Artist
E. Discomposure: creating confusion, complementary with option A
F. Resoluteness:Increase commitment, not a contrast...
## only E describes what the context require.

Jenkins is known for giving strong reactions thanks to his paintings. SOME of his gruesome paintings gave discomposure reaction. For the second blank no doubts

But for the first one maybe innovative is tricky but it does not collimate with the second one.

So the (I) must be A

Let me know if need further explanations

Ominous means dangerous, how can paintings be dangerous? in that regard, can we say that some of his accomplished paintings can cause discouragement or discomfort....

Under this light A means chilling or provoking something scary in the audience.

aside the fact that

1) The entire sentence conveys this meaning of fear so A must be the answer
2) A is the only word that fits the ball park. B and C are clearly out of scope, So even if you do not know the meaning A must be the chosen one
