Let's test some values.
Let's start with an easy value. How about x = 1
We get:
Quantity A: 3^x = 3¹ = 3
Quantity B: 4^x = 4¹ = 4
Quantity B is greater
At this point, we know the correct answer is B or D
Now try some other values for x.
How about: x = -1
We get:
Quantity A: 3^x = 3ˉ¹ = 1/3
Quantity B: 4^x = 4ˉ¹ = 1/4
Quantity A is greater
Answer: D
