Isnt the units digit 4 or 6?
4^x can have only 4 or 6
9^x can have 9 or 1 in units place
4*9, 6*1 = 6
4*1, 9*6= 4
possible outcomes for AXB are 4 or 6

Sorry but the question is some how misleading because according to the stem is \(A \times B\) but in the solution they give me (check right now) A + B
