What is the difference between B and C of the first bank? I think look up to means the same as thinking highly of something

Very tricky. At a glance, you think that people neglect the actor and his interpretation of General Patton. Instead, the sentence is more nuanced.
Basically, the author says the following: people who think that his interpretation is quite good do not know or DO NOT THINK that there is something deeply because not only he give a great interpretation but also is even more than that. I.E he was deeply in his role as General because the actor was a marine and blah blah blah.....
So, people think X and do not realize even more or Y
Hope now is more clear why it is C
