In the given figure, the base of the rectangle = x+5 and the height of the rectangle = x-5.
(x+5) - (x-5) = 10
Implication:
The base and the height differ by 10.
Since 3:4:5 = 30:40:50, the base and the height will differ by 10 if they are 40 and 30, respectively, as shown in the figure above.
Since the radius in this case = 50, we get:
AB = (radius OB) - (height OA) = 50-30 = 20
DC = (radius OC) - (base OD) = 50-40 = 10
AB - DC = 20-10 = 10
