We are given in the question that the average of 3, 4 and ๐ฅ is equal to twice the
average of 5, 6 and y
3 + 4 + ๐ฅ/3= 2(5 + 6 + ๐ฆ/3)
7 + ๐ฅ = 2(11 + ๐ฆ)
7 + ๐ฅ = 22 + 2๐ฆ
๐ฅ = 15 + 2๐ฆ
๐ฅ โ 2๐ฆ = 15 (eq.1)
We need to calculate, (๐ฅ โ ๐ฆ) is how much more than ๐ฆ, that means we need to
calculate difference between (๐ฅ โ ๐ฆ) and ๐ฆ.
We have
(๐ฅ โ ๐ฆ) โ ๐ฆ = ๐ฅ โ ๐ฆ โ ๐ฆ = ๐ฅ โ 2๐ฆ
From (eq.1) we know ๐ฅ โ 2๐ฆ = 15
Ans. (15)
