B for the first blank does seem correct as imprudent means careless and Rash. Which goes with the flow of sentence that it would seem Rash when there's a huge pile of evidence pointing at something but one is still ignoring it as everything about facts and international cooperation is being questioned.

Let's analyze the sentence and choose the appropriate words:

Blank (i): This word should describe the folly or unwise nature of ignoring evidence pointing to profound risks.

courageous: Brave or bold (not fitting here as it implies a positive action).
imprudent: Not showing care for the consequences; unwise (this fits as it suggests recklessness).
wise: Showing good judgment (not fitting here as ignoring risks isn't wise).

The best choice for (i) is imprudent.

Blank (ii): This word should describe the current state of fact-based world views and international cooperation.

embraced: Accepted or supported (not fitting here as it implies a positive trend).
highlighted: Emphasized or brought to attention (this doesn't quite fit the context).
questioned: Called into doubt or challenged (this fits as it suggests a challenging or uncertain state).

The best choice for (ii) is questioned.
