What's wrong with B?
Quote:
In many nations, the increase in human population has far outstripped the food-producing capacity.

Doesn't this talk about food not being enough for the population?

I don't understand how option C is related to the question? That was the first one I eliminated because it was 'out of scope' for this paragraph.

Actually what Malthus wrote in his essay (the essay was truly written by the Economist Malthus back in 1798) is that the population on earth and its increase rate will outstrip the resources of this planet.

Now, This, he asserts, means that the race between population and resources can never be truly won by any sociocultural system

You can weaken the argument through A and C, in a way in which the population do not outstrip the natural resources.

However, this is a good question unless in a different format I.E it is not critical reasoning you will see during the real exam. You will not have multiple answer choices to pick one or more.

I would suggest on this very interesting argument an amazing video essay about the last movie by DC Comics/Marvel Infinity war and Malthus

I always get wrong in these "If True then find the weakening" type of questions. What exactly should I find supporting the argument or not supporting. Can anyone help with an easy example
