Hello,

I have received admissions offers from four business schools, and I am confused between TIAS Business School in the Netherlands (FT 2024 rank 96) and Grenoble Ecole De Management in France (FT 2024 rank 98).


1)Fees: Grenoble Ecole De Management is almost 8 lakhs cheaper in fees than TIAS.
2)Job market: The job market at TIAS is 80% English-speaking, but for France, I need to learn French to at least B2 level.
3)Visa: France offers a two-year visa after graduation, while the Netherlands offers a one-year visa.
4)Competitiveness: TIAS might have a slightly lower ranking, but it is very competitive and doesn't accept students below a GMAT score of 620, while Grenoble offers a GMAT waiver.
5)What I heard: As a sales and marketing professional after an MBA, the job roles I will get are mostly dependent on my previous role. Thus, in the French job market, it will be harder for me to get a job than in the Dutch job market.

Help me to choose the best

I just made a small mistake here. The FT ranking of Grenoble Ecole De Management in France is 96, and TIAS Business School in the Netherlands is 98

Carcass Sir , Thank you for your suggestion . I have one more question please help me with this one also, If the same question arises between Maastricht University in the Netherlands, which doesn't come to ranking for its MBA program but is among the top 3 or 4 rankings in the Netherlands, and Grenoble Ecole De Management in France (FT 2024 rank 96), then which business school will be best?

Well such a dicision when it comes to pick up the school is not based only on the ranking but

1) job placement and ROI
2) The professors
3) what you want really study and what you enjoy to do or area of interest
4) location which is more convenient
5) and so on AND SO ON


There is not a definitive answer.

In my experience in economy and accountability, for example, I would go to Maastricht University

It is not a cut off between this is better than this.

Of course,

wharton or Melbourne ? wharton but I like the gold coast Australia so I go to Melbourne. It depends

Hello YB114,

Your decision should be dependent on where you see yourself settling down post MBA; besides, considering you are targeting a career in Marketing, it is essential that you have a strong command over the local language as this will allow you greater insights into the cultural context of the geography you are working in.

Do not be bothered by the rankings at all. There is not much of a difference between the two schools on that front.
