C is not a right answer. We do not know the initial positions of the car and the truck. Only if its mentioned we can calculate relative speeds and distances. Here for the question provided the Answer should be D.

Total distance the car needs to travel to overtaking is 20m (truck's length) + 4 m (car's length) = 24 m as the front of the car must be 4m ahead of the truck for it to completely overtake the truck.

Speed the car must travel at to cover 24m in 10 seconds = 24 / 10 = 2.4 m / s

Convert the truck's speed to m/s --> 36 * 1000 / 3600 = 10 m / s

Total speed the car must travel at to overtake the truck = 10 + 2.4 = 12.4m / s

Therefore C is the answer.
