x^2+17-7x < 5
isolate all terms to one side resulting in
x^2-7x+12 < 0
factor
(x-3)(x-4)-4 < 0
need to find solutions that would produce a negative number
( negative ) * ( positive ) < 0
we can rule out 3 and 4 as solutions since they will result in zero.
remaining we have 3.7 and 3.3. ->
test 3.3 : (0.3) * (-0.7) = negative number so B is a valid solution
test 3.7 : (0.7)*(-0.3) = negative number so C is a valid solution
Final answer: B,C
