Equation of a line is given to us as \(2y+3x=6\) and we need to find the value of x and y intercept to solve the problem.
Let's first understand what exactly x-intercept and y-intercept are.
[ Refer Attached Figure ]
x-intercept is the point where the line touches the x-axis, that means the point on the line at which the y-co-ordinate becomes zero.
And, y-intercept is the point where the line touches the y-axis, that means the point on the line at which the x-co-ordinate becomes zero.
Let's try to use this theory to find x and y intercept now.
x-Intercept
Put y=0 in 2y + 3x = 6 , we get
2*0 + 3x = 6 => 0 + 3x = 6
=> x = 6/3 = 2
y-Intercept
Put x=0 in 2y + 3x = 6 , we get
2*y + 3*0 = 6 => 2y + 0 = 6
=> y = 6/2 = 3
=> y-intercept (which is 3) > x-intercept (which is 2)
=> Quantity A > Quantity B
So, Answer will be A

The equation can be rewritten as y = (2/3)x + 3. We can see right away that the y intercept is 3. To find the x intercept, we need to find the value of x when y = 0. Set y equal to 0 and we find that x = 2. Therefore, Quantity A > Quantity B.
