OFFICIAL EXPLANATION QUESTIONS #2

To answer this question correctly, start by identifying the commonly used method of reducing perspiration - application of cold packs. The problem with this is that perspiration levels return to normal quickly. The highlighted sentence provides a way to mitigate or reduce this problem.

OFFICIAL EXPLANATION QUESTIONS #3

To answer this question correctly, you must understand the second paragraph correctly. More importantly, you must answer for the last sentence only. The last paragraph says that if a person suddenly moves from one place to another, his perspiration levels will remain the same as they were in the earlier place because his body has got acclimatized to that place. The last sentence then talks about a progressive or gradual reduction, in which case his body should show the opposite behaviour, that is, it should adapt as per the temperature of the new place. Only Option B brings this out. Options A \& D are incorrect because these are the implications of the rest of the paragraph but not of the last sentence, which actually states the opposite. Options C and E are incorrect because ideally, in a place with high temperatures, a person would tend to perspire more. Thus, the correct answer is (B).
