i dont know why the answer is option c which is both quantities are equal
slope of line L passing through (1,1) and (0,a) is less than the slope of the line M passing through (1,1) and (0,b)
slope formula is given by (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)
according to the condition (1-a) < (1-b) so a>b
option A should be the right answer
correct me if im wrong

We know that the slope of a line joining points \(\left(x_1, x_2\right) \&\left(y_1, y_2\right) is \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\)
Using above formula, we get the slope of line l passing through points (1,1) &(0, a) as \(\frac{a-1}{0-1}=-a+1\) and the slope of line m passing through (1,1) &(0, b) as \(\frac{b-1}{0-1}=-b+1\)
We are given that the slope of line l is less than the slope of line m , so we get \(-a+1<-b+1 \Rightarrow a>b\)
Hence column A quantity is greater than column B, so the answer is (A).
Using above formula, we get the slope of line l passing through points (1,1) &(0, a) as \(\frac{a-1}{0-1}=-a+1\) and the slope of line m passing through (1,1) &(0, b) as \(\frac{b-1}{0-1}=-b+1\)
