What stands out to me about your experience is that you recognized early on what was and was not working. You tried other resources, identified what was missing, and made a change. That kind of self-awareness during prep is rare, and it matters more than most people realize. Students who push through a resource that is not working for them lose weeks or months before adjusting, and that lost time is hard to recover.

The other thing worth highlighting is how you approached the prep itself. Three months of part-time study producing a 23-point gain tells me you were studying with real focus and discipline during the hours you did put in. That is the difference between productive study time and just logging hours. A structured, topic-by-topic approach lets you do that because every session has a clear purpose, and you can see whether you are actually improving before moving on.

Your point about the question bank exposing you to every question type before test day is something I wish more students understood. When you walk into the GRE and nothing looks unfamiliar, you are not spending mental energy figuring out what the question is asking. You are spending it on solving.
