we can apply some logic to get answer to this question.
If the product of two integer is 40 we can be sure that both the two integers are either -ve or +ve
Hence the ans should be a summation of two +ve integer or summation of two -ve integer

Looking at the answer choices option C becomes a probable candidate for our answer
This is because 3 is a +ve number we know for sure a +ve ans choice in this question can come from summation of two positive number only
There are only two possibilities to get a summation of 3 by adding two numbers i.e. \(2\) and \(1\) or \(3\) and \(0\)
The pair of \((3,0)\) is a not a possibility as \(0\)*something = \(0\)
and \(2\) and \(1\) multiply to \(2\) so our answer is C

Let's examine PAIRS of values with a product of 40

-1 and -40 add to -41 ELIMINATE A
-2 and -20 add to -22 no options to eliminate
-4 and -10 add to -14 ELIMINATE B
4 and 10 add to 14 ELIMINATE E
5 and 8 add to 13 ELIMINATE D

By the process of elimination, the correct answer is C
