A fast way to check if an integer is divisible by 3 is to sum its digits and check if the result is divisible by 3.
It is easy to notice that choice D, 109, has digits summing to 10 that is not divisible by 3. Thus, 109 is not divisible by 3.

We need to find which of the following integers is NOT divisible by 3
Theory:
(A) 624
Sum of digits = 6 + 2 + 4 = 12 => Divisible by 3
(B) 711
Sum of digits = 7 + 1 + 1 = 9 => Divisible by 3
(C) 819
Sum of digits = 8 + 1 + 9 = 18 => Divisible by 3
(D) 901
Sum of digits = 9 + 0 + 1 = 10 => NOT Divisible by 3
In Exam we don't need to solve further, but i am solving to complete the solution
(E) 969
Sum of digits = 9 + 6 + 9 = 24 => Divisible by 3
So, Answer will be D
