The question gives us a ratio and two percentages, so let's solve the question using a weighted average.


(# of Company A employees) : (# of Company B employees) = 2 : 1

% female employees in Company A = 64%

% female employees in Company B = 52%

[2x (64) + x (52)] / 3x

(128x +52x) / 3x

180 / 3 = 60 -----> 60% of employees at both companies are female
