Quantity A |
Quantity B |
\(\frac{(3y+2)}{5}\) |
\(y\) |
A) Quantity A is greater.
B) Quantity B is greater.
C) The two quantities are equal.
D) The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.
As I know , one approach to solve that is by simplifying the Quantity A , And to simplify it , First I will multiply the denominator , but I am not sure , Do I need to multiply both denominator and the numerator by the same value (5) so the new numerator will be after multiplying (5y+10) or just I cancel off the denominator by removing (5) without any changes in the numerator , I feel like 5 is must be multiply be the whole fraction (numerator and denominator but I see some answers there was no effect on the denominator when trying to cancel off the denominator ?
Also, everything I do in quantity comparison question to one Quantity i must then do the same to the other , is that correct even there is no equal relation for both quantity ?
