Don't make the mistake of assuming any number between 3P3 and 5P3 like me, the number of people has to be an integer. So the only 3 possible values are 3P3, 4P3 and 5P3.

Also a good way to see it:

3 people -> 3! = 6
4 people -> One will get nothing, and the rest the three medals, so you must distribute G (gold), S (silver), B (bronze), N (nothing) among the 4, so 4!= 24
5 people -> Same concept as before, but with one repetition as "Nothing" is repeated twice, so GSBNN will equal 5!/2! = 60
