Let's try to simplify this equation. Firstly, we have:
\frac{(a + 2b)}{(11b - 2a)} = 2,
Cross-multiplying gets us:
a + 2b = 2(11b - 2a)
Multiply out the right side:
a + 2b = 22b - 4a
Collect terms:
5a = 20b
Divide by 5:
a = 4b
From here we recognize that D is the answer. Be careful of trap answer C! That would be correct if we finished at 4a = b.
