This is an arithmetic series, in which the numbers increase by the same amount each time. We can see pretty easily, by subtracting one term from the other, that the terms increase by 1.5 each time. We've been given the first 4 terms. You could add 1.5 four times to the 4th term, 7.5, to find the 8th term.
But slightly faster I think, we could multiply 1.5 by 4 to get the total increase from the 4th term to the 8th term. That gives us 6, meaning that the 8th term is 6 more than the 4th term, so if we add 6 to 7.5 we get 13.5. Thus, B is larger.

The different between each two continuos values is 1.5 (4.5 - 3 = 1.5)
The formula for this kind of sequence is: an = a1 + (n-1)*d
A8 = 3 + (8-1) * 1.5 = 3 + 7*1.5 = 13.5
So B is bigger than A.
