Take any set of 5 consecutive numbers eg: \(1,2,3,4,5\)
The sum of the numbers \(= 15\)
After deleting one number the sum is \(20%\) less than original hence sum \(= 15*0.8 = 12\)
\(15-12 =3\) Therefore \(3\) has been deleted
In the set \(a,b,c,d,e\) \(3\) occupies the spot for \(c\)
Hence option C
The sum of the numbers \(= 15\)

let a, b, c, d, e be x, x+1, x+2, x+3, x+4
The sum of these numbers = 5x+10. This is 100%
Then 20% of (5x+10) = x+2, which is number C.
