probably the only shortcut you do have here is the following.
Take two answers among the five you have and DO NOT calculate them but observe.
Take first B and C because they have the first term identical
(B) 5.53 + 4.73 – 3.34 – 2.42
(C) 5.53 + 4.53 – 3.34 – 2.22
Now
(B)5.53 + 4.73 – 3.34 – 2.42
(C)5.53 + 4.53 – 3.34 – 2.22
The term 5.53 and 3.34 are identical in both answers and on the + and - side. So you can cancel out. Now you do have in B 4.73 and 4.53 In C on the + side and the difference is 20 in +. Then you do have 2.42 and 2.22 and the difference is 20 on the - side. So the two answers balance each other, so indeed they are equal.
Do the same process with A and D. They are equal.
E is the answer.
