I do not know the source of this question but you are right.

Could be B the answer. But this means only one thing: a good question NEVER has rooms for two possible answers.

Regards

PS: post locked. Not a good question

What word might fit into the blank? Nice, modest, delightful. Anything in that vein. Now that you have your own word, go to the answer choices and pick the one that most closely matches your word. The best match doesn’t have to be your word exactly— it doesn’t even have to be a synonym of your word. It just needs to get across the same idea or feeling. To go back to the above example: You want to find a word that matches nice. Don’t cross out (A) if you don’t know what improvident means. Put a ? next to (A) on your scratch paper, and move on. Don’t start playing the word association “what does this word sound like?” game. What about (B)? Does it work? Sure, gracious is a good match for nice. Put a check mark next to (B) on your scratch paper, and read the next answer. For (C), enthusiastic doesn’t mean nice. Although someone who is enthusiastic COULD be nice, they could also be mean. Cross off (C) on your scratch paper. Same goes for (D), because exceptional doesn’t match nice. If you don’t know what lithesome means, then put a ? next to (E).

Even though you didn’t know what improvident or lithesome meant, you should know which answer to choose just by looking at your scratch paper. Since (B) got a check mark, then (B) is the answer.

Re: The actress though portrayed by the media as a Prima Donna [#permalink]
In merriam webster dictionary prima donna is defined as a vain or undisciplined person who finds it difficult to work under direction or as part of a team. So the antonym of this attitude is humble, disciplined, and easy to work with. Now lets see all the answer choices
A) Improvident
B) Gracious
C) Enthusiastic
D) Exceptional
E) Lithesome

The only word that is closely related to those words are gracious. Someone might be enthusiastic, exceptional or lithesome but not easy to work with and arrogant.

technically yes.

The former means gracious, but more refers to the body. The latter is more suitable because she is stylish and gentle.

I do not think this is a question with such subtle nuanced in the real GRE
