Mainly the author explains that the conversation is simple and not too specific. So how do we comprehend that the convs were frustrating. IMO limiting suits well

Why wouldn't the answer choices be B forestalling (act in advance of someone in order to stop them from doing something) and F limiting since there is information that important details are missing so a full conversation is not achieved while conversing with Ethan?

The sense of the sentence is that because of the lack of details, the conversations were frustrating. The only synonym among the other answer choices is B

Limiting has no clue in the entire phrase.

I.E. The conversations were not clear and even though this we didn't get a joke of him if not accidentally

Ask for further assistance

I dont understand why limiting cannot be a an answer ? When his sentence lacks important details shouldnt it be also considered? There is no base for frustrating here in the sentence ! Which part in the sentence is supporting that his sentences were frustrating?

In Ethan's conversations, the important details were lacking, hence making the conversation frustrating/forstalling.

The gist of the sentence is that Ethan's conversation was frustrating because he left many important details in it.

'limiting' has no synonyms available in the options.
