Pattern/Strategy Question

Hey everyone, I have just started to study for the GRE, but I am usually an ACT tutor.
I say this, because have I ingrained the theories involved with standardized testing into my head. For the ACT, everything that I teach my students I have taught them directly from the tests. There are clear questions that ask, just in different wording.
Is this is the same for the GRE? I was going to review the official GRE math pamphlet, study vocab words intensely, and use the practice tests on greprepclub, along with the two they give out for free at the GRE official website.
I consistently score 36s on the ACT because, duh, it is my job to teach others how to take it. Assuming I stick to these strategies, should I be good to go on the real GRE? I was planning on studying for a solid 3 weeks (I have a limited time-frame, and I felt like this site is the best way to go.
So to recap:
1) Review vocab flashcards
2) Do lots of practice tests and review those tests
3) Read the official math quide on the GRE website and resources here for math.
I really appreciate y'all, and I'm glad I found this site. Once again, the only reason that I am somewhat confident about my ability to do improve quickly on the GRE is because it is my job to teach standardized test prep.
