Let's use equivalent ratios
Given: cheese/sauce = 1/0.5
If Bob used 15 cups of sauce to make a number of pizzas, how many cups of cheese did he use on those pizzas?
Let x = number of cups of cheese needed
We can write: 1/0.5 = x/15
Cross multiply to get: (0.5)(x) = (1)(15)
Simplify: 0.5x = 15
Solve: x = 30
Answer: 30

Cheese : Sauce = 1 / (1/2) = 2/1
Cheese is double the amount of Sauce. So, 15 cups of Sauce means 15*2 = 30 cups of Cheese.
