The answer is 5 cm.
Using the 45-45-90 degree triangle rule, we know that the hypotenuse will be Y root 2, the base and perpendicular will be Y each.
so in the triangle where the hypotenuse is given to be 10 cm, the other 2 sides become (10/root2)
and the value of one of the sides (10/root 2) is hypotenuse to another triangle, using which we can find out the value of x which will be (10/ root2 *root2) = 5
