Here's another solution:

We know that 2 angles on the same line must add to 180°
Image

So, ∠BCA = (180 - d)°
Image

Now let's focus on ∆ABC
Since angles in a triangle must add to 180°, we can write: a + b + (180 - d)° = 180
Simplify: a + b + 180 - d = 180
Subtract 180 from both sides to get: a + b - d = 0
Add d to both sides to get: a + b = d

Answer: C
