Explanation
GIVEN: 3x + 5,000 = 6x + 10,000
Subtract 5,000 from both sides to get: 3x = 6x + 5,000
Subtract 6x from both sides to get: -3x = 5,000
Divide both sides by -3 to get: x = 5000/(-3) = -5000/3 [either fraction would be accepted as correct]

First, subtract 5000 from both sides to get 3x = 6x + 5000.
Then, subtract 6x from both sides to get -3x = 5000.
Finally, divide both sides by -3 to get x = -5000/3.
Then, subtract 6x from both sides to get -3x = 5000.
Finally, divide both sides by -3 to get x = -5000/3.
