multiples of 2 & 7 basically means that you have to find out the numbers that are divisible by 2*7 = 14.

The smallest number in the range divisible by 14 is = 140
The largest number in the range divisible by 14 is = 238

So, the answer is = ( (238 - 140) / 14 ) + 1 = 8

Between any range of 100, you have 14 multiples of 7 (7 x 14 = 98)

So between 140 and 240 there will be 14 multiples of 7.

Also, notice that the multiples of 7 alternate between odds and evens (7,14,21,28,35,42....)

So half of these are multiples of 2.

So we have \(\frac{14}{2}=7\) or 7 multiples of 2 and 7.

Since 140 and 240 are included in the Set, "add one before it is done" and we have \(7 + 1 = 8\), or we have 8 numbers in the Set S.
