When a question is like this, you should approach it sentence by sentence. You will arrive to the solution pretty straight.
Actually, broke it into chunks. Otherwise, you will get lost.
Now, Hannah attended some college and earns 20% more than the average person in her educational category.
This means that for the first graph that the earnings at some college is $750 plus 20% more = \($ 750 * 1.2 = $ 900\).
After she earns her degree, she’ll earn the average weekly salary for bachelor’s degree holders. Hannah will spend $ 6,000 in tuition and take a 50% pay cut for 30 weeks to earn the degree.
Now, if she will have a cut of 50% for 30 weeks we will have \(\frac{$ 900}{2} * 30 = $ 13,500\). This money plus \($ 6,000\) of college expenses = \($ 19,500\)
After she gets her degree, per week she will earn \($1200\).
After she gets her degree, for how many weeks will she need to work to recoup her lost wages and tuition using the extra money she will earn weekly?
Now is the trickiest part, the extra money are \($1200 - $900= $ 300\). At this point, she must cover \($19,500\) at a rate of \($300\) per week.
\(\frac{$19,500}{$300} = 65\) weeks
