The hint comes from the fact that Parliament's members use baseball metaphors. Thus, British should have become more attracted by American culture. Thus, the two words expressing the same meaning are "enamored of" and "hooked on". Indeed, "critical of" and "tired of" mean exactly the opposite. "Indifferent of" and "aggrieved by" are not supported by any hint.
