Given that x * y represents the number of integers greater than x and less than y and we need to find the value of –π * 2

Note, π is pie = 3.14 (approx)

To find –π * 2 we need to compare what is before and after * in –π * 2 and x * y

=> We get to substitute x with -π and y with 2 in x * y to get the value of –π * 2

=> –π * 2 (i.e. -3.14 * 2)= Number of integers greater than x and less than y = 2 -(-3) = 2+3 = 5 (which are -3,-2,-1,0,1)

So, Answer will be D
