Let's test some cases
case i: If x = 4, then...
2x = 8, and the EVEN factors of 8 are: 2, 4, 8
3x = 12, and the ODD factors of 12 are: 1, 3
So, we get:
QUANTITY A: 3
QUANTITY B: 2
In this case, Quantity A is greater
case ii: If x = 9, then...
2x = 18, and the EVEN factors of 18 are: 2, 6, 18
3x = 27, and the ODD factors of 9 are: 1, 3, 9, 27
So, we get:
QUANTITY A: 3
QUANTITY B: 4
In this case, Quantity B is greater
Answer: D
