y-3x>12---1
-y+x?38---2

add 1&2
-2x>50

divied both sides by -2

-ive 2 soo flip sign x<50/-2

x<-25

Given:
y − 3x > 12
−y + x > 38 [aside: I rearranged the x and y so that they're in the same format as the equation above]

IMPORTANT: Since the inequality symbols are facing the SAME DIRECTION, we can ADD the two inequalities.
We get: -2x > 50
Divide both sides by -2 to get: x < -25 [aside: since we divided by a NEGATIVE value, we REVERSE the inequality symbol]

So, x can be ANY value that's less than -25

Answer: A and B

y - 3x > 12 ==> y > 3x + 12
x - y > 38 ==> y< x - 38
so we get 3x + 12 < X - 38 ==> x < -25

so the answer is A, B

GIVEN:
y − 3x > 12
x − y > 38

To make things easier to see, let's rewrite the bottom equation as follows:
y − 3x > 12
-y + x > 38

Since both inequality symbols are facing the SAME DIRECTION, we can ADD the two inequalities (for more on this, see the top video below).
We get: -2x > 50

Now divide both sides by -2 to get: x < -25 [since we divided by a NEGATIVE value, we had to REVERSE the inequality symbol. For more on this, see the second video below]

If x < -25, then the possible values of x are: -60 (A) and -30 (B)

Answer: A, B

Answer: A and B
y - 3x > 12
x - y > 38
We have two expressions with two unknown variables (x and y), in order to find out them we should get rid of one of them buy multiplication, etc,
Here as we have y in one and -y in one we don’t need any other function
- 3x + y > 12
x - y > 38
Sum up these two expressions :
-3x + x + y - y > 12 + 38
-2x > 50 divide by 2:
-x > 25 multiply by -1:
x < -25 (the comparing sign will be changed because of negative multiplication we applied.
So we have x < -25
A and B can be answers to this question.

Nice I got this one correct.
* If we have 2 inequalities sharing same variables and same sign of inequality, we can safely add them to find the relation between them.
Thanks guys very useful web.
