Using the unknown multiplier the ration is \(\frac{F}{M} = \frac{3}{2}\). So \(5x = 30 x=6\)
\(F = 2x = 2*6 = 12\)

Let the common ratio be x, so F:M=3x:2x
Total = 3x+2x=5x=30...x=6
Number of females = 2x= 2*6=12.
