First, break up the first fraction like this:
\(\frac{a}{c}*b = 1\)
Next, if \(\frac{c}{a} = \frac{4}{1}\), then \(\frac{a}{c} = \frac{1}{4}\)
Plug that into our first equation:
\(\frac{1}{4}*b = 1\)
Now multiply both sides by 4:
\(b = 4\)
\(\frac{a}{c}*b = 1\)
Next, if \(\frac{c}{a} = \frac{4}{1}\), then \(\frac{a}{c} = \frac{1}{4}\)
Plug that into our first equation:
\(\frac{1}{4}*b = 1\)
Now multiply both sides by 4:
\(b = 4\)
