This is an uncomplicated sentence mostly testing vocabulary. Michalewski's text is very good, the peak or pinnacle of his profession. It's the best book out there.
Apotheosis fits this meaning best. I happened to know this word because I've studied theology. However, "beneficence," "validation," and "vainglory" are all fairly common terms that one should know. "Munificence" is a bit less common, but just means great generosity, which doesn't fit at all.
