Let x/(b-c) = y/(c-a) = z/(a-b) = k
=> x = kb - kc; y = kc - ka; z = ka - kb
=> ax + by + cz
= a(kb - kc) + b(kc - ka) + c(ka - kb)
= k[ab - ac + bc - ab + ac - bc]
= 0
