missed GRE exam

hi everyone!
as you may understand from the topic name I missed the GRE exam that I supposed to take last week. I was in a hospital during the test, and I have statement from doctor. I want to take the test again but the system does not let me to register for another test before 21 days. This rule normally applies in case of cancellation, since mine is a emergency I believe the it should not apply. I sent a cover letter that explains my situation and the statement from doctor to GRE's exceptions department. They are going to revise my case in 10 business days which is almost the same thing as waiting until 14th of april.
I am trying to take the test as soon as possible because I already admitted to a postgraduate program and I might lose my scholarship because of lacking test scores. Is there anyone who had similar experience or knows about this process ? I need a way to make this process go faster.
