Answer is B.

Team A = 20x
Team B = 30y

So combined average is
--> (20x + 30y)/(x+y) = 26;
--> 26x + 26y = 20x + 30y;
Hence 6x=4y
Therefore x/y = 2/3

When you are averaging the total number of items in two groups, combined, the final average will be closest to the average for the larger of the two groups.
In this case, 26 is closer to 30 (team B) than to 20 (team A)

\(\frac{20(A) + 30(B)}{A + B} = 26\)

\(20(A) + 30(B) = 26(A + B) = 26(A) + 26(B)\)

\(30(B) - 26(B) = 26(A) - 20(A)\)

\(4(B) = 6(A)\)

\(\frac{A}{B} = \frac{4}{6} = \frac{2}{3}\)

Therefore, \(A = 2k\) and \(B = 3k\)

Since, we are comparing the number of players, \(k\) has to be positive and greater than 0

Hence, \(A < B\)

Hence, Answer is B

Average age = 20a+30b/a+b=26

20a+30b = 26a+26b
4b=6a
a/b=4/6
a/b=2/3
The answer is B
