From question,
\(\frac{3}{2}\) cups of sugar makes \(24\) cookies.
By unitary method we have to find the required cups of sugar for \(30\) cookies.
Therefore, if the required cups of sugar is x then,
\(\frac{3}{2}\) * \(30\) = \(24 x\)
or, \(\frac{90}{2}\) = \(24x\)
or, \(\frac{45}{24}\) = \(x\)
or, \(\frac{15}{8}\) = x
x is less than 2.
\(\frac{3}{2}\) cups of sugar makes \(24\) cookies.

Solution:
We are given that 3/2 cups of sugar makes 2 dozen cookies. We also know that there are 12 cookies in a dozen, so 2 dozen cookies is 24 cookies.
We need to determine whether The amount of sugar required for the same recipe to make 30 cookies (quantity A) is greater than 12 (quantity B).
We can let n = the amount of sugar needed for 30 cookies and create the proportion:
(3/2)/24 = n/30
3/48 = n/30
90 = 48n
90/48 = n
Since 90/48 < 12, quantity B is greater than quantity A.
Answer: B
