QUANTITY A
2 of the 5 eggs are rotten
So, P(1 egg is rotten) = 2/5 = 0.4
QUANTITY B
P(2 eggs are rotten) = P(1st egg is rotten AND 2nd egg is rotten)
= P(1st egg is rotten) x P(2nd egg is rotten)
= 2/5 x 1/4 = 1/10 = 0.1
Answer: A
