It's a bit unclear on point (1) of the question though. But I assumed that both funds can only either grow 20% or 30% in any given year.
If that's the case, say x is the amount Bob invested in each fund:
- Fund B: grows 30% 1st year, 20% 2nd year, 30% 3rd year --> After 3 years Bob would have x * 1.3 * 1.2 * 1.3
- Fund A: grows 20% 1st year, 30% 2nd year, 20% 3rd year --> After 3 years Bob would have x * 1.2 * 1.3 * 1.2
Clearly (B)
If that's the case, say x is the amount Bob invested in each fund:
- Fund B: grows 30% 1st year, 20% 2nd year, 30% 3rd year --> After 3 years Bob would have x * 1.3 * 1.2 * 1.3

In the give question, if the time period is two year, the answer would be C, am I right? anyone here!
